Rotary Names 2022 Citizens of the YearPARK CITY, Utah (Aug. 23, 2022) - The Park City Rotary Club recognized Beano Solomon and Duane ‘Dar’ Hendrickson as its 2022 Citizen of the Year Award winners. The recognition program dates back over four decades as the Rotary Club honors local citizens for their contributions to the community. The awards were presented at the club’s weekly meeting on Tuesday, August 23 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Park City. |

Rotary Honors Summit County Vaccination TeamPARK CITY, Utah (Aug. 24, 2021) - The Park City Rotary Club, well known for its annual Citizens of the Year Awards, went a step further in 2021 showing its appreciation for the work done by local citizens during the pandemic. The club created Community Appreciation Awards recognizing Gary and Debbie Crandall of the Utah Film Studio, a host of Summit County Health leaders including Derek Moss and Chris Crowley, and the entire Summit County Mass Vaccination Volunteer Force - all for their unique support of the community’s battle against COVID-19. |
2021 Citizens of the Year HonoredPARK CITY, Utah (Aug. 17, 2021) - A Park City Rotary Club program to honor local citizens for their contributions to the community began in 1981 and continues on today. The Rotary Club recognized Jim Gaddis and Katie Wright to receive the 2021 Citizen of the Year awards in a ceremony held at Rotary Park August 17. |
Citizens of Year Honored by RotaryThe Park City Rotary Club has named two distinguished individuals of the mountain community as its Citizens of the Year. The Linda Singer-Berrett Professional Citizen of the Year was awarded to Summit County Health Director Rich Bullough. The Jack C. Green Volunteer Citizen of the Year was presented to longtime community volunteer Karen Marriott.

Rotary Organizes Food Drive for Local PantriesTwo of the most vital support services in our community during the coronavirus pandemic have been the Christian Center of Park City food pantry and St. Mary’s Food Bank. They have provided a vital lifeline to thousands in Summit and Wasatch Counties. Due to coronavirus restrictions, though, drop offs of food had been halted with little ability to replenish the pantries. But on Saturday, May 2, the Park City Rotary Club held a contactless five-hour food collection at Outlets Park City (formerly Tanger Outlet Mall).

Corrie - Kristal is planning a joint Lunch, Sunrise, Twilight social. Meeche - need some housing for 4 Korean visitors to the Ability Center. 2/2-9. Program Tom Kelly introduces program. SOS Program Manager Abbey Eddy. SOS charity started in 1993 in Vail to get underprivileged kids involved on Ski/Snowboarding. 16 locations nationwide. Expanded to Park City in 2016. A youth Development program grades 4-12 devoted to developing 6 core values and life skills. 5 weeks of ski/snowboard lessons and participation. Also has a mentor program. 32 kids in 2019-20 ski season. 82 kids in the mentoring program. Runs an Industry Day whereby participants meet with different departments of Ski resorts with a goal of understanding employment opportunities.

Park City Rotary Names 2018 Citizens of YearTwo distinguished community leaders were recognized by the Park City Rotary Club as its Citizens of the year for 2018. Wally and Lorraine Stuecken, along with Assistant Summit County Manager Anita Lewis were recognized by the club August 20. They will serve as honorary marshals of the 124th Miners’ Day Parade on Monday, September 2.

For Park City Rotary Club member Larry Warren and his wife Carol Murphy, the day holds very special memories. |
High School Interact Students Receive ScholarshipsHigh school students are the future leaders of the community. Recognizing that, the Park City Rotary Club provides $10,000 in scholarships each year as a part of its partnership with the Park City High School Interact Club. Five deserving high school seniors will receive scholarships at a special ceremony Wednesday, May 29 at the Eccles Center.

Miners' Day ParadeFun and funky, the annual Miner’s Day parade down historic Main Street attracts marching bands and community floats as Park City celebrates its mining heritage. Put your blanket down on the curb with the kids and be ready for the fun. The parade begins around 11:00 a.m on September 3rd., just after the annual Running of the Balls down Main Street. The parade route runs the length of Main Street, before skipping over to Park Avenue and on down to City Park. |

Rotary Helps Community ChildrenPARK CITY ROTARY CLUB HELPS KIDS IN COMMUNITY PARK CITY, Utah (July 11, 2017) - The Park City Rotary Club, which has been serving the community since 1980, is drawing attention to the needs of youth in the Park City community. On Tuesday (July 11) the club announced significant financial grants to three relatively new local non-profits, all of which have a focus on kids. The club will present $125,000 in grants to Community for Children’s Justice, Bright Futures (a program of the Park City Education Foundation) and PC Tots in a ceremony in the Blair Education Center at the Park City Hospital. |
