Rotary International Auction Luncheon
Tuesday, April 25, 2019
12:00-1:30 p.m.
Grub Steak Restaurant, Park City

Join members of the Park City Rotary Club for an informal luncheon and silent auction at Grub Steak Restaurant. It’s an opportunity to network with club members and to support the club’s international outreach programs that not only impact communities around the world, but provide an opportunity for Park City high students to learn about the value of service to others.

About Park City Rotary
The Park City Rotary Club has been providing service and support in the community since 1980, impacting local causes with nearly $2 million in support. Rotary International is the largest service organization in the world with over a million members. While Rotary clubs around the world focus on community service, Rotarians also join together on international projects to help others around the planet.

Park City Rotary International Outreach
Park City Rotary has a long history of international outreach, with boots on the ground engagement in Mexico and Guatemala, as well as support in Rwanda and other countries. The club’s approach is to combine its strong efforts with Rotary’s high school Interact program with its international outreach. Each of the club’s international projects is primarily centered on engaging Interact students with Rotarians on international service projects.
Beginning in 2017, the Park City Rotary Club brought its international service closer to home through a project to support the native Hopi people on their northern Arizona reservation. The two projects were eye-opening for participating Interact students from Park City, as well as exchange students from around Utah.

Hopi Project
In November, 2018, Park City Rotary and Interact brought 45 students and Rotarians to the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. The four-day project opened the eyes of students to the Hopi people, who have inhabited their villages for over 800 years. The project took them into villages and homes to meet Hopi people. Workshops taught them about their life. And service took them into elementary schools to help young Hopi children and to do landscaping and construction on a Hopi sustainability project.

How You Can Help
Each year the Park City Rotary Club’s International Auction luncheon raises thousands of dollars to directly support service projects. And it’s a fun time to meet Rotarians and learn about the value of community service. Join us at the luncheon and bid on everything from restaurant coupons to wine to fabulous vacation stays!
