If you and/or your spouse/partner would like to learn to play bridge, Torch and I will get a group going. If there are club members who already play and would like to help us teach, we welcome their assistance. Torch is preparing a handout for the first meeting. Please acquire a copy of "Bridge for Dummies" because that describes the way most people play social bridge currently.

The caveat: Torch and I are NOT "ACBL bridge teachers", though we have taught many people how to play. We are decent "social bridge" players and have been playing together since 1961. If someone is interested in becoming duplicate/tournament bridge players, consider going elsewhere to learn. We propose this as a fun opportunity to learn together and get better acquainted with our many new Rotary Club members. I propose to offer an opportunity to learn to play at our house once a month at 6:00 p.m. for soup. BYOB and bring a side/dessert. We can accommodate as many as 5 tables (20 people), but if we have more than 12 learners, we'll need some strong young people to help us move furniture upstairs.

Let's go with the 1st Monday of each month and start in November. That will be:
